Glendale, Calif.-based Alpha Foods (alphaplantbased.com) adds a pair of meat- and dairy-free single-serve breakfast burritos to its plant-based lineup. Made with the company’s sausage-style Alpha Crumble, spicy dairy-free cheese, veggies and a seasoned tofu scramble — all wrapped in a fluffy tortilla — the portable frozen breakfasts come in two non-GMO flavors: Original and Veggie. Both deliver 10 grams of protein per serving. Packed 12 to a case, each 5-ounce burrito is expected to retail for around $3.99.
