(Fort Wayne, IN) – When John Tippmann Sr. founded Tippmann Construction in 1968 and started his first construction project, he did not anticipate growing into one of the largest family-owned cold storage and construction companies in the United States. Fifty years later, Tippmann Group has grown and evolved into just that with Tippmann Construction, Interstate Warehousing and Tippmann Properties.
Tippmann Group is proud of its reputation as refrigeration pioneers, design/build specialists, and leaders in warehousing and distribution.
- Refrigeration pioneers – Tippmann Group is an industry-leading, family-owned company with a long and storied history of introducing new ideas and inventions that have changed the cold storage industry for the better.
- Design/build specialists – Tippmann Construction has a well-established reputation for designing, building, expanding and renovating cold storage distribution and processing facilities.
- Warehousing and distribution leaders – Interstate Warehousing is nationally-renowned for its expertise in 3rd party warehousing and distribution services that are customized to address each customer’s individual supply chain needs.
Throughout its first 50 years of business, Tippmann Group has built more than 17 million square feet of temperature controlled warehousing and processing facilities, while owning more than 100 million cubic feet of cold storage warehouse space at its Interstate Warehousing facilities throughout the United States.
“When my father started this business 50 years ago, he wanted to be sure that he kept the customers’ needs first,” said John Tippmann, Jr., President of Tippmann Group. “2018 is no different. We continue to remain focused on the customer because they are the reason we are still here today.”
Tippmann Group has always led the way with new and exciting improvements to the cold storage industry, like the QFR Zone®, a more energy and labor efficient solution to blast freezing needs.
Tippmann Group recently installed its 10,000th QFR Zone® pallet position in early 2018. The QTR Zone®, which uses the same technology to improve airflow is a more recent development which improves the thawing process for our customers with tempering needs.
