Raybern’s (rayberns.com), San Ramon, Calif., enters the frozen handheld breakfast segment with an at-home alternative to the sweet and savory breakfast sandwiches offered by many quick-serve restaurants. Initially available exclusively at Dollar General, the Raybern’s Rise & Shine collection includes four hand-crafted varieties, each with 11 to 15 grams of protein: Maple Waffle, Sausage, Egg and American Cheese; Maple Biscuit, Sausage, Egg and Cheddar Cheese; Maple Pancake, Sausage, Egg and Cheddar Cheese; plus a better-for-you option, Muffin, Turkey Sausage, Egg White and American Cheese. The fully cooked, microwave-ready sandwiches come in 7.9- to 9.46-ounce two-packs (six to a case). SRP is $3.79.
