Chapel Hill, N.C.-based Seal the Seasons (sealtheseasons.com) expands its unique line of locally sourced frozen fruit offered under a single national brand from the Mid-Atlantic to five new regions. Intended to give consumers access to locally grown produce 365 days a year, the company now offers New York- and New Jersey-grown Blueberries, Berry Blend, Cherries and Cherry/Apple/Berry Blend in the Northeast and Washington- and Oregon-grown Blueberries, Strawberries, Berry Blend and Cherry Berry Blend in the Pacific Northwest. Next month, it will add Michigan-, Ohio- and Wisconsin-grown Blueberries, Peach/Blueberry/Blackberry Blend, Peaches, Cherry Berry Blend, Dark Sweet Cherries, Mixed Cherries, Cranberries and Cherry/Apple/Berry Blend in the Midwest, followed by California- and Oregon-grown Blueberries, Strawberries, Berry Blend, Cherry Berry Blend, Blueberry/Strawberry Blend and Peaches in the Pacific Southwest. A collection of fruits grown in the Southeast is expected to debut later this year. Depending on the product, fruits are offered in resealable 14- and/or 32-ounce bags (except in the Northeast where 12-ounce bags replace 14-ounce). SRP is $4.49 for small bags (packed eight to a case) and $9.99 for big bags (six to a case).
