Publix Opening Another GreenWise Store

Publix is building a GreenWise Market — its specialty and organic-food banner — in its Lakeland, Fla., hometown, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal. the new store will have a limited selection of traditional grocery items so as to free up space for specialty items, the newspaper said. Prepared foods will also be a major focus.

The chain launched GreenWise with only three stores some years ago, but has not added any since. Last year, Publix said it would open two stores in Tallahassee (September openings) and one in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. (2019 opening).
