CedarLane Foods (cedarlanefoods.com), Carson, Calif., debuts a line of protein-rich Power Bowls ready to eat in less than 5 minutes. Made with chicken raised without antibiotics, the single-serve frozen bowls come in four globally inspired flavors, including Chicken Fajita, Chicken Souvlaki, Three-Layer Chicken Enchilada and Chicken Shawarma. Each delivers 19 to 22 grams of protein, and all except Chicken Shawarma are gluten-free. The company also offers a high-fiber vegetarian Falafel Bowl with 11 grams of protein, featuring brown rice, bell peppers, red onion, Swiss chard and a citrus yogurt sauce. Offered in 10-ounce packages packed eight to a case, all five meals are expected to retail for $4.99 apiece.
