Battle Creek, Mich.-based Kellogg’s debuts a line of “next generation” plant-based proteins under the new Incogmeato by MorningStar Farms brand (incogmeato.com). Made with non-GMO soy, the 100% plant-based collection includes Burger Patties, Original Bratwurst and Italian Sausage developed to look, cook and taste like real meat. All three are intended for the fresh meat case. The Burger Patties come in two-count, 8.5-ounce packages (four per case) and Brats and Sausage are offered in five-link, 14.1-ounce packages (six per case). SRPs are $6.69 (Burgers) and $8.99 (Brats and Sausage). Watch for plant-based tenders and nuggets later this year.
