Alden’s Organic Ice Cream (aldensicecream.com), Eugene, Ore., expands its line of certified organic ice cream with clean versions of three classic flavors. Made with milk and cream from humanely raised, rBST- and antibiotic-free cows, the newcomers include Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter Fudge and Birthday Cake, the latter of which is billed as the only organic version currently on the market. Free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial ingredients and GMOs, the ice cream comes in 1.5-quart cartons packed three to a case. They’re expected to retail for $8.99 to $9.90 apiece.
