Thanks to a new licensing agreement, Wheeling, Ill-based Distinctive Foods (distinctivefoods.com) expands its line of dough-wrapped proteins with Pabst Blue Ribbon Mini Pretzel Beer Brats. Described as a fun twist on classic pigs-in-a-blanket, the frozen appetizers feature miniature hardwood smoked bratwurst cooked with Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer using a decades-old family recipe and then wrapped in traditional pretzel bread. The fully cooked, microwaveable snacks are ready to eat in less than one minute. Packed 12 to a case, each 20-ounce club-size package is expected to retail for $9 to $10. The company plans to add a 12-ounce size in the fourth quarter.
