Brands including Fat Boy, Jolly Llama and Churnbaby now owned by MidOcean Partners.

MidOcean Partners, a New York private equity firm, has acquired Cache Valley, Utah-based Casper’s Ice Cream, a manufacturer/supplier of branded and co-packed frozen novelty products sold by retailers nationwide. Its brands include FatBoy, the Jolly Llama and ChurnBaby. Casper’s is MidOcean’s second investment in branded food in the last six months, following the acquisition of Louisiana Fish Fry last July.
