Basking Ridge, N.J.-based Arla Foods (arlausa.com) expands its line of cream cheeses with a new Skyr Cream Cheese billed as the first of its kind in the U.S. Made with Icelandic-style yogurt and skim milk instead of whole milk, the better-for-you variety delivers more protein (3 grams per serving) and fewer calories (45 per serving) than traditional cream cheese. Free of artificial flavors and preservatives, it also contains less fat, sugar, cholesterol and sodium than Arla’s original cream cheese. All Arla cream cheeses are produced at the company’s farmer-owned dairy in Holstebro, Denmark. Packed 10 to a case, each 7-ounce tub carries a $2.99 SRP.
