Bridgewater, N.J.-based Applegate (applegate.com) launches its first-ever line of Non GMO Project-verified natural cheese slices and shreds made with traceable milk from cows humanely pasture-raised without antibiotics or growth hormones on independent family farms. Free of artificial ingredients, preservatives and added colors, the collection includes six sliced varieties (Medium Cheddar, Provolone, American-Style Colby, Muenster, Pepper Jack and Mozzarella) and three shredded options (Italian Blend, Medium Cheddar and Mexican Blend). ) A seventh sliced flavor, Swiss, is expected to debut next year. Slices are offered in resealable eight-count, 6-ounce packages while shreds come in reclosable 6-ounce packages, both packed 12 to a case. SRP is $4.99.
