Rockville, Md.-based Bright Greens (brightgreens.com) expands its collection of Bright Greens blender-free frozen smoothies with two new protein-rich meal replacements. Made with fresh whole fruits and vegetables, pre-blended and flash frozen to lock in peak flavor and nutrients, the newcomers include Golden Glow (carrots, turmeric, ginger, oranges, pineapples, lemon, hemp hearts and banana) and Red Recovery (beets, cherries, strawberries, oranges, hemp hearts and vanilla). Consumers just add water to the frozen cubes and shake — no blender required. Each Non GMO Project-verified smoothie is free of artificial ingredients and added sugars and contains 11 grams of protein and less than 250 calories. Packed six to a case, the 7-ounce single-serve shake-ups retail for $4.99 to $5.49 apiece.
