Less than a year after FlexCold opened its first cold storage facility in Jacksonville, Fla., the company announced plans to more than double the building’s footprint to more than 350,000 square feet. Strategically located three miles from Florida’s No. 1 container port and within a day’s drive of 98 million consumers, FlexCold-Jacksonville will offer 55,000 pallet positions of chilled and frozen storage, 51 bays and 115 reefer plug-ins once the expansion is complete next summer, says the company.
