Montclair, N.J.-based Baltic Marketing debuts protein-rich, whole milk cottage cheese bars imported from Latvia. Offered under the new Spēka (spekabar.com) label, the “smart snacks” deliver a balanced combination of carbs (for energy now) and protein and fat (for lasting energy). Available flavors include Vanilla, Salted Caramel and Greek Yogurt, each of which offers 8 grams of protein, 8 grams of fat and no more than 9 grams of sugar and 150 calories. Shipped frozen, the 1.3-ounce bars can be sold frozen or refrigerated (14 day shelf life), individually ($2.29 SRP) or in four-count, 5.9-ounce display cases ($7.98 SRP). Display cases come in eight-count master cases.
