Arcadia Cold Storage recently announced plans to open a new cold storage facility in Reno, Nev., the sixth in the Atlanta-based company’s rapidly expanding network. Expected to begin serving customers in Q3, the 254,460-square-foot facility will offer fully convertible freezer and cooler distribution center services. More than 37,000 pallet positions will support regional distribution, import-export services and high-volume throughput handling.

As one of the first large-scale 3PL cold storage facilities in the Reno market, the Arcadia facility will provide access to key metropolitan markets in California, Nevada, Utah and the Pacific Northwest, says the company.

“Reno is an important addition for us to provide access into the greater Western and Pacific-Northwestern markets for our customers who are seeking a quality cold storage and distribution option in the region,” says Arcadia CEO Chris Hughes.
