Here’s some frozen food unit gainers

For the 12 weeks ended Dec. 4, here are some of the few brands to score unit gains, according to IRI, the Chicago-based research firm. 

—Poultry substitutes, up 28.3%; percentage gains, in order of dollar sales, Impossible Foods, +92.8%; Daring Foods, +299.0%; Simulate Nuggs, 24.2%; Beyond Meat, 311.4%. 

—Frozen breakfast entrees, up 4.6%; percentage gains, in order of dollar sales, Jimmy Dean, 10.9%; Eggland’s Best, 4.3%; Smart Ones, 15.5%; Hungry Jack, 2,162.%; Sambazon, 2.1%. 

—Onion rings, up 8.6%; percentage gains, in order of dollar sales, Lamb Weston, 7.9%; private label, 39.8%; Alexia, 3.4%.
