New York-based Daring expands its plant-based chicken lineup with its first refrigerated item: Plant Chicken Tenders. Intended to be sold in the fresh meat case alongside animal-based proteins, the “remarkably chicken-like” tenders are similar to Daring’s Original Plant Based Pieces but larger in size and refrigerated rather than frozen. The gluten-free, vegan product is made with six natural ingredients — almost 50% fewer than most competitors — and no GMOs. It’s high in protein, a good source of fiber and contains zero cholesterol. SRP is $6.99 for an 8-ounce package (packed eight to a case).
