Saputo Dairy USA, Lincolnshire, Ill., debuts a collection of vegan- and kosher-certified plant-based cheeses under the new Vitalite (vitalite.com) brand. The dairy- and gluten-free lineup includes 7-ounce/10-slice Mozzarella Style and Cheddar Style Slices (both packed 11 to a case), 7-ounce Mozzarella Style and Cheddar Style Shreds (both packed six to a case), 2.1-ounce Grated Parmesan Style (packed 10 to a case) and 9-ounce Creamy Original Spread (packed six to a case), all made without GMOs and soy (except for the spread). Slices and shreds are expected to retail for $4.99; grated parmesan, $2.99; and spread, $5.99.
