Newfield, N.J.-based cold chain solutions provider RLS Logistics opened a new frozen food order fulfillment center in Kansas City, Kan., last month, expanding its fulfillment operations to a fourth location.
With the new Midwest facility, the company can now reach 31% of consumers in one day via ground shipping and 98% in two days, reports warehouse group director of operations Michael Fischer.
The center is intended to service frozen food companies that ship directly to consumers’ homes. RLS’s business intelligent customer platform anello will allow clients to access their inventory, run reports and create dashboards important to their KPIs, says Janine Dunlap, fulfillment and cold storage business development coordinator. “With RLS, all of the analytics are in one place, and [customers] are dealing with one accountable team.”
