
Denise Leathers, editorial director of Frozen & Refrigerated Buyer, has been honored with a national award by the American Society of Business Publication Editors for her company profile on Amazon Fresh, our cover story in last October’s issue. The story, “A Fresh Approach,” won a silver award in the organization’s Awards of Excellence Competition. Hers was among 830 entries in 65 categories of entries. In researching the story, Leathers interviewed leading industry experts, visited a newly-opened Amazon Fresh store, and tried out the much ballyhooed Dash Cart for herself. Her story included tips for retailers facing off against these new stores. FR Buyer has won nearly 40 awards for editorial excellence since its founding in 2009.
