Stamford, Conn.-based Saffron Road (saffronroad.com) debuts a trio of single-serve frozen Asian entrees, including its first Chinese dish, plus three family-size offerings. The new single-serves include Sweet & Sour Chicken, Butter Chicken and Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken while the new family-size meals include two of the company’s most popular existing dishes, Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Biryani, plus Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken. All are certified gluten-free. Like all Saffron Road meals, the clean-label newcomers are made with ethically sourced ingredients, including humanely raised, antibiotic-free chicken; aromatic long-grain jasmine rice from Thailand; virgin coconut oil from the Philippines; fresh ginger and ripe fruit and veggies. Packed eight to a case, 10-ounce single-serves carry a $4.99 SRP while 22-ounce family-size meals come six to a case and retail for around $9.99.
