Industry Veteran Dan Lehtonen, 60, Killed in Crash

Dan Lehtonen, a well-known frozen food industry executive, was killed Aug. 17 in a car accident in Tooele County.
He was 60 and lived in Draper, Utah.
A life-long food industry veteran, he held leadership positions with Good Karma Foods, Michael Angelo’s Gourmet Foods, Rudi’s Organic Bakery, and spent nearly 20 years with Schwan’s Consumer Brands.
Most recently, he was the president and co-founder of Double-D Vacation Rentals in Sandy, Utah, established in June of 2018.
Lehtonen was well-known in the frozen foods industry, especially among retailers on the West Coast.
