Sweet Earth Foods (sweetearthfoods.com), Moss Landing, Calif., part of the Nestlé portfolio of brands, rolls out a line of flavor-forward plant-based deli slices that offer the taste, color and texture of traditional deli meats and no cholesterol. The ready-to-eat vegan collection includes three “deliciously seasoned” varieties with 15 to 17 grams of protein per serving: Oven Roasted Turkey, Black Forest Ham and Italian Style Pepperoni. Packed 6 to a case, each 6-ounce, 10- to 12-slice package is expected to retail for $6.99. Sweet Earth is also expanding its plant-based sausage lineup with three new flavors: Green Chile Chedd’r, Ginger Scallion and Chik’n Apple. Made with pea protein, the non-GMO, cruelty-free links contain no cholesterol or antibiotics. Each 13-ounce package (8 to a case) includes four links. SRP is $8.99.
