Oat-Based Frozen Desserts

Bologna, Italy-based Valsoia (, distributed in the states by Dr. Schar, Lyndhurst, N.J., expands its collection of plant-based frozen desserts with a trio of oat-based gelato pints and novelties. Made in Italy in a completely dairy-free, non-GMO facility, the newcomers include: Oat Milk Italian Cones (in four-count, 15.2-ounce packages) featuring vanilla gelato in a crunchy waffle cone topped with cocoa and lightly toasted coconut, Oat Milk Italian Sandwiches (in eight-count, 19.2-ounce packages) made with creamy vanilla gelato between cocoa wafers, and Oat Milk Cookies & Cream Gelato Pints (in 13.2-ounce containers) filled with vanilla bourbon gelato blended with cookie pieces. The novelties carry a $5.99 SRP; the pints, a $4.99 SRP. All three come six to a case.
