Jerry ‘Dan’ Frye, 66; Worked at Harris Teeter, then Acosta

Jerry “Dan” Frye, 66, of Mooresville, NC, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer. Dan was preceded in death by his parents (Jerry and Libby Frye) and brothers (Craig Frye and David Frye). He is survived by his wife of 33 years (Stevie Frye), daughter (Christina Harwell), son-in-law (Michael Harwell), brother (Wade Frye), sister-in-law (Debbi Frye), sister (Terry Frye), (Steve Locke), as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dan was born on February 22, 1951 in Gastonia, NC. He truly loved his life, childhood experiences, college days at the University of South Carolina, his long career in the food brokerage industry, and living on Lake Norman with his family.

Acosta Sales and Marketing and Harris Teeter were Dan’s main focus in his long food brokerage career. Dan and the family thank you for helping him succeed and for your support during his illness. We also thank the wonderful doctors and care givers during this difficult time.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 21 at 12:00 at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-12:00 in the church narthex.
