Willy’s Fresh Salsa Expands, Eyes National Distribution


With an eye to national distribution of its line, Willy’s Fresh Salsa has opened a new corporate headquarters and manufacturing plant in Swanton, Ohio.

The new facility has more than 10,000 square feet of refrigerated storage and automated equipment to dramatically increase daily production. It will manufacture seven varieties of Willy’s Fresh Salsa, all made without any artificial or GMO ingredients.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to launch our all-natural salsa nationwide,” says Dennis Dickey, founder of Willy’s Fresh Salsa. “We’ve had a great regional response to our gluten-free, non-GMO salsa, and we can’t wait for the rest of the country to discover it for themselves.”

While the new facility will produce greater amounts of salsa on a daily basis, the company will continue to use the production practices that have helped it enjoy its rapid regional growth—mixing fresh, all-natural ingredients in small batches to capture the highest-quality flavor and freshness.

The new facility is certified by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and the British Retail Consortium (BRC), and is expected to boost the local economy by providing several new jobs and offering support to local organizations and schools.

Willy’s Fresh Salsa has produced healthy, all-natural salsa blends since 2006. With products available in over 2,500 grocery stores in 25 states, the company is passionate about providing delicious all-natural salsa while adhering to the highest quality standards.
